Mijo was the easiest going, mellow fellow. He got along with any person or dog and even when another male would try to start something macho, Mijo stood his ground but "turned the other cheek" and never fought.

Fellow exhibitors at dog shows were always amazed at his mellow stability. He would sleep all day in his crate, without even raising his head. But come time to be groomed, then shown, up he'd get, shake himself awake, and it was off to the races!

Mijo was Best Of Breed at the huge and prestigious Harrisburg Atlantic States Briard Club Specialty, won many groups and an all-breed Best In Show. Throughout his specials career, he was shown and co-owned by Art Tingley in co-ownership with Dr. Gerard Nash and his original owner from puppyhood, Philip Lopez from Anchorage, Alaska.
